Putin’s show of strength turns the capital into a locked-down ghost city, as flight chaos, network outages, and shuttered services leave Muscovites bewildered.
I think the Russian defence ministry said 524 Ukrainian drones were destroyed yesterday. Ukraine said they hit military defense targets but it's hard to verify in the fog of Telegram and propaganda.
I would be interested to hear if you have been inconvenienced in any way. We have relatives who had camp out in SVO on Tuesday night/Weds morning and they have struggled with phone coverage in the centre. Anyway, stay safe !
Of course, the airports / mobile data (2 hours each day) and shop / road closures are annoying, some very. But that's still very different to 'drones have relentlessly pounded targets in the capital' - appreciate a lot have been downed on their way to places, and some targets may have been hit, but I've not heard a single mention of one hitting a target in Moscow
Fair enough mate. Point taken. Pounded is not the most accurate verb considering the vast majority of the drones are probably being intercepted. S Praznikom !
@Jason: "For three days, Ukrainian drones have RELENTLESSLY POUNDED targets in the capital."
I understand you need to dramatise, but this is patently untrue. Many have been launched, have any landed 'in the capital'?
None, from what I am aware (sitting here, cycling around the city and reading pretty much every local source of info)
